EASTIE PRIDE DAY SAT. AUG 16

Archive Photo Eastboston.com

Come and celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Eastie Pride Day! Held at the beautiful Pier’s Park on Marginal Street overlooking the Boston Harbor on Saturday, August 16th, 2008 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Eastie Pride Day was started in 1989 by Boston City Councilor Sal LaMattina and the Eastie Pride Day Committee.

If you attend you will surely enjoy the entertainment. You may even see some of your local friends or family dancing from Beverly Richard’s Dance Studio, Eleanor Rubino’s Academy of Performing Arts, or from the Umana Dance Team. There will be face painting, temporary tattoos, jugglers and even a visit from Curious Creatures and Little Iguanas for children. Zumix will be performing as well the Steel Drum Band! Enjoy yourself while eating a tasty slice of pizza or hot dogs. Cool off with a nice refreshing slush or soda and have a good time!
