Senator Anthony Petruccelli & Representative Carlo Basile will host
a Town Hall style forum at East Boston High School on Tuesday March
24, 2009 at 6:30 PM.
The purpose of the meeting is to keep the East Boston community
informed about current issues facing the Commonwealth, such as the
FY ’10 budget, pending legislation for the 2009-2010 legislative
session, among others.
"I am going out to all parts of my district to speak to my
constituents about the issues we all face," commented Senator
Petruccelli. "The Commonwealth is facing very difficult times, and I
want to be able to provide my constituents with the most accurate
and honest information that is available. I welcome the opportunity
to speak openly and candidly about the problems we face and what
Representative Basile and I, as elected officials, are doing to ease
the burden for our constituents."
"I am looking forward to the opportunity to answer constituents'
questions and address any concerns they may have. During these
difficult times people need their elected officials more than ever,
and we want our constituents to know we are here for them.
"We have many pressing issues facing this
community at this time, which is why this forum is imperative. I
hope that, along with Senator Petruccelli, we can continue to hold
forums like this one to keep the East Boston community informed and
to gain valuable feedback from our constituents,” said
Representative Basile.
The forum will take place in the East Boston High School auditorium
located at 86 White Street in East Boston. For further information,
please contact Senator Petruccelli’s office at 617-722-1634 or
