City Year Boston's 21st Annual Serve-a-thon
Fundraiser - Saturday, May 22, 2010
On Saturday, May 22, 2010, join 1500 volunteers in a day of
community service led by City Year Boston. Help beautify East Boston
by creating outdoor play areas, painting murals, planting gardens,
and renovating
community spaces, such as EBSC Jeffries Point, Mario Umana MSA,
American Legion Playground, Orient Heights, and many more!
BREAKFAST, LUNCH, DINNER, CONCERT, AND T-SHIRT PROVIDED! RAFFLES
WITH PRIZES FROM MICROSOFT AND ZIPCAR!
Serve-a-thon is a fundraiser and all donations support our tutoring
work in schools, but we are opening up the event to East Boston
residents for FREE. Please visit www.cityyear.org/bostonserveathon

Here is the general schedule of the day:
8:30 am - Breakfast/Registration opens at City Hall Plaza
9:30 am - Program starts
10:20 am - Buses depart City Hall Plaza
11:15 am - Welcome remarks delivered on site
11:30 am - Service begins
3:45 pm - Buses depart for City Hall Plaza
4:15 pm - City Hall Plaza closing celebration begins
6:30 pm - Closing celebration concludes
