EAGLE HILL CIVIC ASSOCIATION MEETING  5/26/2010

The next Eagle Hill Civic Association meeting is this Wednesday at 7 pm. The agenda is light but will include elections -- members are urged to bring membership card! You will need it to vote. We also have Pat Milano  from the East Boston Substance Abuse Coalition as a guest speaker.

Also, Neenah Estrella-Luna sent this event along, as she is leading one of the tours here in East Boston, a good way to support and learn more about our neighborhood!

Common Boston, a volunteer program in the Boston Society of Architects, is coming to East Boston for their annual festival of architecture and design on Saturday, June 19. This year's theme is "Where we Connect." Events in East Boston include a tour of former industrial spaces that have been transformed into green spaces, youth-led tours of Maverick Landing, an Eastie Food tour, and more. Click on the link below for all of the activities.

The Youth Media Project, to occur at Zumix, is on the link below as well. This project includes youth from across Boston who have created video walking tours that are personal portraits of their own neighborhoods.

In addition to East Boston, they are also hosting events throughout the week in Chinatown, Fort Point Channel, Jamaica Plain, Dudley Square, and Uphams Corner. This is a great opportunity to learn about other neighborhoods, as well as our own.
