The Anthony Picarello Foundation’s 9th Annual “Gift of Life” Celebration

(Dedicated in the memory of Ruth Picarello, Founder)

The Annual APF Event will take place on April 24th, 2008 from 6 - 10 PM Suffolk Downs.

The event includes entertainment and auctions with chances to bid on Red Sox tickets, sports memorabilia, and gift certificates to hotels and restaurants. As well as buffet dinner, complimentary wine and cheese hour and great entertainment. As always, it promises to be a great night.


This year the event is held in memory of Ruth Picarello, one of the founders and a loving Mother and wife, whose family continues to operate this organization to raise money to help those in need. Over the years Ruth has grown this organization as a way to give back, due to the second chance given to her son Anthony who received a liver transplant. Forever grateful for the “gift of life” given to her son, Ruth never gave up on the organization, especially during her years of illness which eventually ended this past October as she was called home to God.

Though the Anthony Picarello Foundation raises awareness for organ donation, it’s main goal now is the “Peace of Mind” fund.

The “Peace of Mind Fund” was created to provide financial assistance to qualified individuals and their families who are awaiting a lifesaving transplant and experiencing financial distress. This fund is the first of its kind. Since 2000, the Foundation has grown from assisting 10 needy families a year, to assisting an overwhelming 67 families in 2007. We are committed to expanding the Foundation, so that we can broaden our abilities to help those in need. With your help we can reach these goals and give hope to those in need.
