Rep. Carlo Basile to host 3rd Community Breakfast for Salesian Boys & Girls Club June 16

The 3rd Annual Salesian Boys & Girls Club of East Boston Community Breakfast, hosted by Club Alumnus and State Representative Carol Basile of East Boston, will take place at Suffolk Downs on Thursday morning, June 16, 2011 between 7:30 a.m. -9:30 a.m. Event sponsors Suffolk Downs and The Fields Family Foundation will welcome local businessman, community activists, political leaders, and numerous individuals who have a commitment and passion for the youth of East Boston, Revere, and Winthrop.

The program features the presentation of the Don Bosco Award to Fr. Sid Figlia, sdb, a former director of the Club and recognizes the Youth of the Year, Mary Moran. Former MA Senate President Robert Travaglini will conduct a live auction.

All proceeds are earmarked for the Salesian Boys & Girls Club of East Boston that has provided a safe, fun, and affordable place for children and teens to go after school, during evening hours, on weekends, and at a summer day camp for over sixty years.
