ARCHIVE EBOL - Arts and Culture January 2001 East Boston Artists Group "Circle, Cycle, Delta"

East Boston Artists Group is pleased to announce the opening of "Circle, Cycle, Delta," the third show in a series sponsored by EBAG and shown at ZUMIX. An opening reception will be held on Friday January 12, 2001 from 6-8 pm at ZUMIX, 202 Maverick Street in East Boston. The exhibition will run through Wednesday February 28, 2001.

"Circle, Cycle, Delta" casts a sensual, sidelong glance towards the cycles and rhythms of human and plant life. The exhibit features images from birth through death and depicts rich and complex topics including families, relationships and intimacy.

Jesse Kahn, the East Boston artist who conceived of and curated the exhibit, says "Circle, Cycle, Delta is an exciting mix of photography, drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking and mixed media. With work from over 20 recognized local and regional artists, this show marks an exciting evolution and expansion of the ZUMIX gallery series."

The show is a part of Kahn's 10 year interest in depicting the human body and plant life in juxtaposition. "Circle, Cycle, Delta" includes works by Fausto Blasco, Elsa Campbell, Daphne Confar, Lana Caplan, Danielle Krcmar, Jeanette Lazarus, Anna Salmeron, Magdalena Taber, Paul Weiner, and others.

The public is invited to attend the opening reception.
