Milton Players Presents Ken Ludwig’s Hilarious Farce, Leading Ladies

The Milton Players will present ken Ludwig’s well-loved farce, Leading Ladies, beginning Friday, April 16.
Directed by Richard White, Leading Ladies follows the adventures of Leo and Jack, two down-on-their-luck Shakespearean actors, who find themselves performing “Scenes from Shakespeare” on the Moose Lodge circuit in the Amish country of 1958 Pennsylvania.

Jason Arundale of East Boston and Rick Fairbanks are featured in Leading Ladies

When they hear that a wealthy woman in a nearby town is about to die, leaving her fortune to a pair of long-lost relatives, they resolve to put their acting talents to more profitable use. The complications begin when Leo and Jack discover that the long-lost relatives are female, and continue when Leo falls in love with the old woman’s niece, who is engaged to the local minister. Jason Arundale of East Boston plays Jack in the production.

In conjunction with the show, the Players have teamed up with local restaurant, Abby Park, located at 550 Adams St. in East Milton. Ticket holders are entitled to $20 off their bill of $50 or more on days of the show, excluding tax and gratuity, simply by showing proof of attendance, such as a ticket stub or printout confirmation from online ticket purchases. Call Abby Park at 617-696-8700 for reservations.

Leading Ladies will be presented at the Milton Woman’s Club, 90 Reedsdale Road, Milton. Performances will run April 16, 17, and 23, with a matinee on Sunday, April 25th. Friday and Saturday evening performances are at 8 p.m. and are cabaret-style, including complimentary wine, soft drinks and snacks. The Sunday matinee is at 2 p.m. Tickets prices for the evening performances are $20, and the matinee is $15.
