On Thursday November 13, 2008 East Boston Main Streets received a grant for Storefront improvements at their annual meeting.

[East Boston, MA. November 20, 2008,] East Boston Main Streets held its annual meeting on November 13, 2008. Volunteer board members were on hand to talk to attendees about recent successes and plans for 2009. In addition to an annual report, information was distributed on the Boston Community Change rebate card and the Respect Your Neighborhood campaign. On behalf of the Meridian Charitable Foundation, representatives from East Boston Savings Bank Janice Woodman and Michael Moscone were on hand to present a check to the East Boston Main Streets Storefront Improvement Program. 100% of funds are used directly for storefront improvements for removing ugly metal grates, lighting and signage. Funds will be used to expand the program into Day Square.
