New Jeffries Point Sign!

On Friday November 28, 2008 East Boston Main Streets completed its 25th improvement project for 2008.

East Boston, MA.28-November-2008 East Boston Main Streets (EBMS) places a new district sign in Jeffries Point with the help from the East Boston Foundation.
East Boston Main Streets has completed 25 storefront and public improvement projects in 2008. Utilizing resources from Community Development Block Grants, the East Boston Foundation, the Meridian Charitable Foundation and the Boston Main Streets Foundation, East Boston Main Streets has helped to facilitate 25 projects in East Boston. East Boston Main Streets would like to thank the business and property owners who have stepped up to remove ugly metal security grates and invest in new storefronts. Their commitment to revitalizing East Boston has made our neighborhood cleaner and safer.

The Jeffries Point Sign is another public improvement. Metropolitan General Contractors and Photamar Design helped to complete the project. Funding was provided through a grant from the East Boston Foundation.

About East Boston Main Streets. EBMS is a non-profit corporation. Our mission is to create a more vibrant business district by initiating private and public improvements, promoting commerce, and supporting efforts that improve the quality of life for all who live, work and do business in East Boston.
