Meeting 2: Create a Plan for the Hess Site: Saturday, May 5, 10:00 am-2:00 pm (lunch will be provided) - East Boston High School Meeting 3: Reality Check: Evaluate the Hess Site Plan: Wednesday, May 23, 6:30 pm - East Boston High School * The Hess Site is an 8.5 acre parcel of vacant land on Condor Street along Chelsea Creek in East Boston, owned by Amerada Hess Corporation. * The Hess Site Planning Project is a community process in which neighborhood residents and others can help plan the future use of the site by providing input on re-use options. * The Project is a collaboration of: East Boston Chelsea Creek Action Group, Neighborhood of Affordable Housing (NOAH), CLF Ventures (affiliated with Conservation Law Foundation) and the Watershed Institute; and is supported and funded by Amerada Hess Corporation. Directions to the East Boston High School 86 White Street, East Boston By Car: From Boston: Take the Callahan Tunnel. Stay in the right hand lane, and take the first exit, marked "Local Traffic". Make the first possible right (onto Paris Street). Follow Paris until the first Stop sign. Take a right onto Gove Street. Follow Gove until Meridian Street, make a right. Continue on Meridian Street though Central Square (Central Square has a large park/rotary in the middle). Continue on Meridian. Turn right on Monmouth Street (which is after Eutaw Street). Monmouth turns into White Street. High School is on the right; there is a parking lot at the far end of the school. From North of Sumner Tunnel: Coming to East Boston from Route 1A South: Make a right into East Boston just before the SumnerTunnel. This is Porter Street. Go one block to Central Square. Make a right onto Meridian (not a sharp right). Continue on Meridian Street though Central Square. Continue on Meridian. Turn right on Monmouth Street (which is after Eutaw Street). Monmouth turns into White Street. High School is on the right; there is a parking lot at the far end of the school. From Chelsea: Take the Meridian Street Bridge. Continue on Meridian. Turn left on Monmouth Street (which is after Marion Street). Monmouth turns into White Street. High School is on the right; there is a parking lot at the far end of the school. By MBTA: Take the blue line to Maverick Square. At Maverick, either take the # 112, 116, or 117 bus up Meridian Street. Get off at Monmouth Street. Walk up Monmouth. Monmouth turns into White Street.
