Fmr. State Representative Carlo Basile Endorses Stephen Passacantilli
for City Council
EAST BOSTON – Former East Boston State Representative Carlo Basile
endorsed City Council candidate Stephen Passacantilli for Boston City
Council District 1. Basile, a lifelong East Boston resident and BPS
parent, represented East Boston from 2007-2014 in the State Legislature.
Basile said, "Stephen Passacantilli is the clear choice to represent
East Boston on the City Council. Stephen, like many of us, is raising a
family here. Stephen's kids, like my kids, are in the Boston Public
Schools, so he knows how important it is for families to have access to
great schools in their neighborhood. Whenever I needed assistance to
help a Veteran, Stephen was always there. As City Councilor, Stephen
will always put residents and our community first. He has the passion
and the dedication to stand up to developers and institutions and be a
strong voice for East Boston's families and seniors."
Passacantilli said, "Carlo Basile has been a strong, independent
voice for East Boston, and I am I am proud to have his endorsement.
As a BPS parent, I will work each and every day to ensure that each and
every child in Boston receives a world-class education and that our
residents always come first."
Many know Passacantilli from his years of
public service across Boston. He is a lifelong resident of the North End
where he has been deeply involved as past president of his local civic
association and through local charities and community organizations like
North End Against Drugs (NEAD) and the North End Beautification
Committee. Passacantilli is also an active Boston Public Schools parent
and serves on the board of the Gavin Foundation.
Passacantilli
and his wife, Renée, are raising their two children, Grace and Evan,
just around the corner where he grew up in the North End. |
