EBNHC Free Community Engagement Luncheon Recognizing Hispanic Heritage
Month
In recognition of Hispanic Heritage Month, The East Boston Neighborhood
Health Center is hosting a staff and community engagement luncheon on October
18, from 12:00 noon to 1:00pm at 260 Sumner Street, East Boston (ZUMIX
Firehouse).
The luncheon is free and will feature speaker Phyllis Barajas, founder and Chief
Executive Officer of Conexión, a mentoring and leadership experience for
mid-career Hispanic & Latino professionals.
Among her other accomplishments Phyllis was appointed in 1994, by President Bill
Clinton as deputy assistant secretary in the U.S. Department of Education
offices of elementary, secondary and bilingual education.
Phyllis will lead a fun, educational and interactive discussion on Hispanic
Heritage directed towards all members of our Boston and greater Boston
community.
