The McArdle Bridge, connecting Meridian Street in East Boston with the City of Chelsea will be closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic for an eight hour period so that necessary repairs may be made. The bridge will close on Friday July 12, 2013 at 10:00 p.m. and will reopen at 6:00 a.m. on Saturday July 13, 2013. Drivers are advised to use Route 1A or the Chelsea Street Bridge as alternate routes.
