EAGLE HILL CIVIC ASSOCIATION MEETING  2/24/10

The EHCA will present a packed agenda for the next Eagle Hill meeting on Wednesday (2/24). Due to the many items on the agenda, we will try to make things move along quickly and would appreciate your support in moving things along.

Agenda Items:

1.) Introduction to the new Captain of the East Boston Police Precinct A-7, Frank Mancini Welcome Letter from the Captain at www.eastbostonpolice.com.

2.) John Vitagliano, project manager for the Chelsea Street Bridge replacement project will be on hand to update residents on the project which will begin this month.

3.) Carlos Alverado from the US Census will inform residents about the upcoming Census.
--This is very important because if we can increase the number of East Boston residents counted in the Census, then we can secure more government funds for East Boston and more elected representation.

4.) Roberto Mano from 163 Trenton Street will present on a project he would like to do at his house to repair his rear porches which are falling down. He would like to ask for our support when he goes before the City for permitting.

5.) Jesse Khan will present on an exciting opportunity to get involved in the East Boston Community Supported Agriculture program that delivers fresh, locally grown produce to East Boston residents. --"CSA's" are a great way to get affordable fruits and vegetables for your family and I would encourage you to consider participating. You can find more general information online, including the USDA's website at: http://www.nal.usda.gov/afsic/pubs/csa/csa.shtml

6.) The ECHA subcommittees met last month and we will have an update on the activities of each committee.
