This Saturday, October 16th, the City of Boston and Boston Cares
is sponsoring a day of service on Eagle Hill starting at 9:30AM at
the East Boston High School. This day of service will focus on
cleaning up tree pits on Eagle Hill and filling them with mulch or
wood chips. In the spring, trees will be planted throughout Eagle
Hill in many of these tree pits. Volunteers from around the City,
including volunteers from all political campaigns were invited to
help out on Saturday.
If you live in Eagle Hill and want your tree pit cleaned and
mulched, now's your chance!
Email or call Ernani DeAraujo with any questions. (617) 635 3485;
ernani.dearaujo@cityofboston.gov
All are welcome to help and high school students will get volunteer
hours for NHS or related requirements (Ernani will write to your
principal!)
