Celebrity Designers Cortney and Robert Novogratz Highlight Unique Interior Style at Boston East

HGTV designers Cortney and Robert Novogratz tackle Massachusetts project at luxury community on the waterfront in East Boston

Boston, MA (October 11, 2017) – Trinity Financial announced today that Los Angeles-based celebrity designers Cortney and Robert Novogratz, famous for HGTV’s Home by Novogratz and Bravo’s 9 By Design, will utilize their unique style in the interior design for Boston’s newest luxury waterfront community, Boston East.

The Novogratz are embracing the region’s seafaring heritage and Boston East’s prime location on the Harbor as inspiration for the “marine industrial” theme they are incorporating into the design. Residents can expect the interior to reflect influences from Boston’s rich history and the nearby marinas and shipyards in a non-traditional way.

“It has been a great honor and wonderful experience designing such a unique space in one of the most extraordinary cities in the world,” said Robert Novogratz.

“Cortney and Robert have a tremendous design aesthetic and we’re thrilled that their unique style will be on display at Boston East,” said Abby Goldenfarb, a Development Vice President at Trinity Financial. “Boston East is an eclectic community with outstanding amenities – characteristics that will be showcased in the design Cortney and Robert are creating. We’re honored that this talented duo has chosen Boston East as their first multifamily Massachusetts project.”

During the past decade, The Novogratz have designed and developed many unique properties in Manhattan, Los Angeles and beyond. This includes boutique hotels like the Timber Cove Resort in Sonoma, California, the Hotel Dylan in Woodstock, New York, and Bungalow Hotel in New Jersey. In addition, The Novogratz have designed numerous high-end residential homes such as the remodel of a 1926 Hollywood Hills home, several townhouses in Manhattan, along with pop-ups and children’s spaces. Boston East is the couple’s first multifamily project in Massachusetts.

Located directly on Boston Harbor and in close proximity to Downtown Boston and the MBTA, Boston East is a boutique, mid-rise residential community that features 200 units, including six artist live-work-sell units and a public art gallery. The development takes advantage of beautiful views of the Harbor and downtown Boston with large floor-to-ceiling windows in many units, over an acre of outdoor space, patios and decks and a large rooftop lounge. Community amenities include a Harbor Walk that extends beyond the development, the Yard and fire pit, a kayak and paddleboard launch, an indoor gym, and even a dog spa.

“Boston East has been an exciting and inspiring project for us, as we’ve had the chance to incorporate a variety of design elements to create a beautiful, relaxing and welcoming space,” said Cortney Novogratz. “East Boston has such a rich culture and history, one that residents will see reflected in the design. We believe Boston East – with its waterfront location, top-of-the-line amenities and, most importantly, unique design – will be unlike any other multi-family community in the city or the region.”

For the Boston East project, The Novogratz have drawn on their extensive experience with boutique hotels. During the past summer, Cortney Novogratz visited the famous Brimfield Antique Flea Market in Massachusetts to gather inspiration and shop for local, one-of-a-kind pieces to be featured at Boston East. Purchases included a large 30-foot fishing net that will hang from the ceiling of Boston East’s public art gallery, a canoe and a variety of vintage, marine industrial pieces, images and decor.

Boston East is currently pre-leasing for the community, which is scheduled to open in January. Trinity Management, LLC will serve as Boston East’s professional property management company. As part of the pre-leasing process, Trinity Financial has opened a temporary Marketing Center located adjacent to the site at 80 Border Street, where prospective residents can tour a model unit and experience the design and amenities at Boston East. The 80 Border Street building is also home to the East Boston Artist Group studios and the Atlantic Works Gallery.

Trinity Financial is utilizing its experience in creating successful market rate luxury living spaces to develop a unique and desirable residential community at Boston East. Among the luxury communities Trinity Financial has developed or has currently in development include the One Canal and Avenir buildings in Boston, 66 Summer Street and Vela on the Park in Stamford, CT and Foundry Square in Newburyport.
