East Boston High School is holding its annual fundraiser and gala on
Friday, April 29 at Suffolk Downs, and the grand prize raffle award
is $10,000. Other prizes are available for separate raffle: lottery
trees with $100 dollars worth of scratch tickets, sports tickets,
and hotel packages.
Dinner tickets are $50 each and include an open bar, appetizers, and
Raffle tickets for the $10,000 prize are $100 per ticket. People are
welcome to go in as a group and split the cost of the raffle ticket.
For example: four people can pitch in $25 each for the ticket, and
if they win, they each get $2,500. Not bad for your $25 investment!
Only 225 tickets will be sold for the chance to win $10,000.
* Would you like to attend and cheer on the raffle ticket entrants?
* Would YOU like to be one of those vying for the $10,000?
Tickets should be purchased as soon as possible.
The money raised goes toward the high school's technology upgrade
program: we are one of the only non-exam schools to have LCD
projectors, smart boards, new computer labs, and new software in the
city, and it is all due to this fundraiser. Can you help?
Just a few more tidbits of information: EBHS students swept nearly
every catagory at the Citywide Science Fair, earning first, second,
third places and honorable mentions. EBHS students are also learning
about the stock market and three of our students are almost always
in the top 25 of all students participating in a NE regional-wide
stock-market game. We have students who participated in exchanges
with England, Italy, and in June, a group are leaving at the end of
the year to take part in building housing in New Orleans with
Habitat for Humanity.
Please, pass this information along to anyone you think might be
interested in coming for dinner, buying a raffle ticket, or just
making a donation to the fund.
