Free Salsa Class for
Maverick Renaissance on Thursday, Aug 13, 2009
EAST BOSTON, MA - Aug 10, 2009 - East Boston, Mass.
area residents are invited to the kickoff of "Salsa Libre" - an
ongoing series of free beginner salsa lessons - on Thursday, August
13th from 5:00 to 6:00 pm at Maverick Square. All ages are welcome
and no dance partner is required.
The Salsa Libre kickoff is part of The Maverick Square Renaissance
Party - a week-long series of musical and
variety entertainment with local business promotions in and around
Maverick Square, beginning Monday, August 10th - hosted by The
Business Owners of Maverick Square, the East Boston Chamber of
Commerce, East Boston Main Streets, and City Councilor Sal LaMattina.
The following week, starting Thursday, August 20th, classes will be
held every Thursday from 5:00 to 6:00 pm at Maverick Landing Meeting
House, 31 Liverpool Street, East Boston.
Classes will be taught by world-renowned performer Johnny Giraldo.
Johnny, who attended East Boston High
School, is a member of the Salsa y Control Dance Company, whose
primary goal is to fulfill the need to express inner emotions
through dancing to the captivating sounds of salsa music.
