Memorial to Sgt. Richard F. Halloran, killed in the line of duty in 1975, will be unveiled on November 6.

On November 6, 2009 we will be dedicating a Memorial to Sgt Richard F. Halloran who was killed in the line of duty on Nov 6, 1975.

Sgt Hallorans Wife Francesca along with her sons will be on hand for this event.  The dedication will take place near 464 Bremen Street (where Sgt Halloran was killed in the line of duty).

Police Officers from that era will be attending the event along with the Mayor, Police Commissioner and others.

Police Officer Robert Anthony has been in charge of this undertaking.  Support has come from First Priority Credit Union, Boston Police Patrolmen's Association, Boston Police Superiors Officers Federation, East Boston Foundation, The Boston Foundation, Suffolk Downs, Spinelli's, Joe Ruggierio and the men and women of District Seven.

Officer Anthony was also the founder the P.O. Ezekiel W. Hodsdon Memorial (first Boston Police Officer killed in the line of duty).

Officer Anthony is the Resident Historian for District Seven.  After the dedication there will be a gathering at Spinelli's for the Family and Friends.
