Meridian Interstate Bancorp, Inc. : MassHousing Presents East Boston Savings Bank with a Special Achievement Award

(Peabody, MA 3/25/2013) - Massachusetts Housing Finance Agency (MassHousing) came to East Boston Savings Bank's corporate headquarters in Peabody to present the Bank with the Special Achievement Award as the "Top Minority Lender" for Massachusetts. In 2012 East Boston Savings Bank originated 87 MassHousing Loans for $23 million. Peter Milewski, Director of the Mortgage Insurance Fund and Manager of Home Ownership Business Development and Lisa Fiandaca, Business Development Officer for MassHousing presented the award to Richard Gavegnano, EBSB Chairman and CEO, John Migliozzi, EVP, Lending and John Tirrusa, Vice President, Residential Lending.

Founded in 1848, East Boston Savings Bank operates 26 full-service branches (including its Mt. Washington Bank division) in the greater Boston metropolitan area and offers a variety of deposit and loan products to individuals and businesses located in its primary market, which consists of Essex, Middlesex and Suffolk counties.
